Dental Fillings

Cavities and decay can cause serious health problems and severe discomfort if left untreated. Dentists use many different methods to repair this kind of damage to teeth, but most commonly a simple tooth coloured (white) filling can be used to seal the cavity.
Once the filling is in place it prevents the development of infections and the structure of the tooth is restored.

It is possible to replace silver amalgam fillings with white fillings in many cases if desired. Sometimes, however, a cavity is too big to simply restore with a white filling and in these cases a ceramic inlay, onlay or crown may be required.
